Well, burn my trousers and call me a liar. It's been a while, hasn't it folks?

As you no doubt have guessed, I've not exactly been following through with my promise to bring more chapters to Peripeteia. I could probably pinpoint my lack of interest as beginning when one of my plot twists turned up in the show. But really, this doesn't excuse me abandoning my brain child for a third of a year. Be it through high workloads or plain procrastination, I have been a highly neglectful creator I doubt everyone's been holding their breath in anticipation, but if they have, I'm very sorry.

In the time I've been gone, I've been chasing around other story ideas. One particular story idea is for a crossover, which is more like a crossover than Peripeteia was, and it's a humdinger of an ambitious project. I'm really excited about getting it out into the world before it can be contradicted (Imagine. A fanfiction not in line with canon). However, I myself don't like to see fanfiction left for dead, and I'm reluctant about moving on so fast.

So, what do you think, adoring fanbase? Finish what I started, or seek pastures new?

Well, it's sunday night, and I've lost all hope of meeting my deadline for the end of Peripeteia. I could blame my laziness, which was a large factor, but at the end of the day, there was just so much real life stuff going on. Preparing for University, believe it or not, is a hell of a lot of work, especially when you leave most of it until later, and obviously that takes precedence. But I don't mind much either way. The packing's all done now, and I learned a valuable lesson: when practicing meeting deadlines, practice using something of higher value than writing fanfiction, no matter how much you love doing it.

On a related note, I saw Return of Harmony Part 1. Awesome, funny, and a whole lot of creepy. But amongst all this and that guy off Star Trek, there was something that both excited and annoyed me. To put it bluntly, One Of My Ideas Ended Up In The Episode. It's not an idea you've seen yet, but when I reveal it, I just know people will be calling plagiarism. Well, when the time comes, I promise you that it was planned from the very beginning. Great minds think alike, apparently.

The next chapters for Peripeteia will come...when they come I guess. Rest assured, though, I'm not giving up, I've come too far in the story for that. Bear with me guys, just six more chapters to go!

Right, so now in the next coming week there are two huge events occurring in my life. First, as many Bronies are aware, is the premiere of Season 2. I live on the other side of the world, and so I won't be watching it live, unless of course there's some streaming that I'll be up for. They'll probably advertise that on ED on the day.

Second, and of most importance to me. Exactly one week from now is the day when I will be starting freshers week at the University of Winchester. One motivation I had for this project was as an exercise in deadlines, and the deadline for me will be next Monday, the day before. Fortunately, I've just completed writing a chapter in record time, so I have high hopes.

When I came back from holiday to find no less than 23 comments, I knew my prayers had to have been answered. Sure enough, I went straight to Equestria Daily, and no words can express my... my JUBILATION in finding Peripeteia posted up there, and on the very day I left the country, too! Thank you all for your comments, even handed every one. I've started work on the next chapter, which will be posted A-sap. And it'll be the point where things become...decidedly different. (read: completely batshit)

From 2nd August to the 9th of the same month, I'll be off on an extended family hoilday to Skiathos. Sea, sun, and attending a civil partnership on a boat. Should be good.
